**Current 2026 Adopt-a-Trailhead Volunteers do not sign up here!**
As one of the most visited National Forests in the country, our trailheads see lots of visitors. Volunteers are given an opportunity to help keep our trailheads clean and free of trash. Cleaning our trailheads helps prevent illegal dumping, protects wildlife, and improves the visitor experience. This program is in partnership with the United States Forest Service, Town of Breckenridge and Summit County Open Space and Trails. Volunteers are assigned a specific trailhead and responsible for cleaning up trash throughout the season.
