The USFS has various temperature loggers along the Blue River in Summit County, they are used for long term monitoring of cutthroat stream habitat. Collecting temperature data is important because it helps the USFS support these fragile habitats. Collecting the data is fairly easy, you need to pickup the logger from the FDRD office, go to your site, plug in the monitor and collect the data, once you're done you can return the data and monitor to FDRD! This is a great citizen science opportunity.
